Kathy Helfrich is the passionate founder of Be Happy Interiors, where every space is approached with deep personal care and professional expertise. With over 12 years of dedicated experience in interior design, Kathy brings a unique and invaluable perspective to every project.

Prior to founding Be Happy Interiors, Kathy cultivated a strong background in high-end real estate and exceptional customer service, skills that translate directly into a highly collaborative design process. Known for a fun, yet meticulous approach, Kathy ensures the client's journey is as enjoyable as the final reveal.

The philosophy of Be Happy Interiors is rooted in respecting resources and budget. Kathy is highly conscientious of financial constraints and particularly enjoys the creative challenge of blending cherished, existing client pieces with carefully selected new elements. This love for repurposing and mindful design is central to her work.

In 1999, Kathy married her husband Mike, and they share two incredible children, Kendall (23) and Carter (21). Then, to complete this amazing household, we can’t forget about their rescue dog, Lola!!
