About me

Kathy Helfrich is the owner and lead interior designer for Be Happy Interiors. Kathy spent nearly 23 years as a real estate agent specializing in the high-end golf communities of North Scottsdale, AZ. During this period, Kathy collaborated with some of the most talented architects, builders, and designers in Arizona.

Kathy’s transformation from real estate to interior design was inevitable. The real estate market crash of 2008 motivated Kathy to expand her skillset. Having always loved interior design, she enrolled at the NY Institute of Art & Design and received her certification. During this period, she added home staging and interior design as services accompanying her real estate business. In 2015, interior design became her primary focus. Her husband’s job transfer led her family to Parker, CO, in August of 2017, and shortly after Be Happy Interiors was born. Kathy and her husband Mike, have two children and their rescue dog Lola!

Kathy has a natural eye for design, a gift for space planning and a strong passion for providing exceptional customer service. With satisfied clients all over the western United States, her business and reputation for outstanding work has grown.
